This particular Favorite staking set is clean and comes with 100 different stakes and 15 riveting holes. All of the stakes have been cleaned with a reagent that is made for the type of alloy the stakes are made from. A lot of the time when you try to set a stake in a pre-owned antique staking set you will meet a nice built up sticky “funk” that has clogged the area where the stake is put into the set. This funk is usually caused by old grease that once sat on the threads of some of the screws that help you center the stake. This set has no sticky goo and it “centers” or lines up perfectly. The only reason I’m saying goodbye to my friend here is because I found an inverted set which I prefer as it suits my needs better as my table only services 36,000bph movements. (They are rare.. and this set would still do it, it’s just preference).
